For everyone who loves quilting and sewing!

This illustration was taken from a book written by Jane Eayre Fryer called The Mary Frances Sewing Book (or Adventures Among the Thimble People.) This lovely little book has several sewing patterns included in it.  The drawings and illustrations were done by Jane Allen Boyer.

Originally published in 1913 by the John C. Winston Co., Philadelphia, it has since been reprinted with many modern updates added.

Notice the little sewing bird clamp that is attached to the table in the picture.  The sewing bird was used to hold a piece of fabric while the seamstress did embroidery or hemming.
